Catherine Maciver (1912-2002), daughter of Roderick Maciver and Christina Macleod, 3 Laxay was unmarried and resided at 3 Laxay. She was known as Catriona and was cook/housekeeper at Soval Lodge for many years, working for the Doyly Cartes. She travelled with them to their residence at Sherborne where she was at the outbreak of the Second World War.
