22996: Mary Ann Macdonald

Mary Ann, daughter of John Macdonald and Christina Macleod, 3 Laxay married John Macleod, 59 Balallan and lived in Stornoway. Mary Ann went to live with her sister Isabella after her husband’s death. She remarried to Robert Hepburn, Sandwick in 1921. She died whilst undressing in front of an open fire. Her night clothes caught light and she was fatally burned.
