Norman, born in 1877, was a son of Kenneth and Christina nee Maciver from 24 Tobson. He was married twice; his first marriage was to Mary Macaulay from 10 Keose with whom he had one son Kenneth. They may have lived in Keose until 1919 (their son was admitted to Bernera school in June of that year and the school previously attended was Knockiandu) .

Norman later married Mary Macdonald from 2 Breaclete; no issue.
