19715: Kenneth Neil Macdonald
Coinneach Niall Nèill Mhurchaidh
Kenneth Neil (1878-1915) was a son of Neil Macdonald and Henrietta Macdonald from 12 Breaclete.
He emigrated to the United States of America and later to Canada. At Toronto, in 1910 he married Donaldina Macphail formerly of 19 Gravir. The couple settled in Waterloo, Ontario and they had a daughter, Neilina.
A Private (24329) in the 13th Battalion (Quebec Regiment) of the Canadian Expedition Force, Neil was killed in action in France, probably at Armentierres, in 1915 and is buried in Rue Petillon Military Cemetery, Fleurbaix, France (Grave Reference 11. A. 42.)
Donaldina and Neilina returned to 19 Gravir after his death.
