19581: Malcolm Macdonald

Calum Mhurchaidh Chaluim

Malcolm, born in 1857, was the youngest child of Murdo Macdonald and Annabella Macdonald from 18 Tobson. He lived in Thule House, using a room to run his business "Malcolm Macdonald & Son, General Merchant".

At the County Hotel, Edinburgh, in 1900, he married Margaret Macdonald, Slumbay, Lochcarron. The marriage was conducted by Rev Roderick Macdonald, Margaret's Uncle. The couple settled at Thule House, 18 Tobson and they had four children, three daughters and one son, John Murdo ,who carried on the business after Malcolm died.
