16886: Duncan Macleod

Duncan (died 1928) was from Erista; he was the son of Donald Macleod and Margaret Macleod (who became the second tenant of 39 Cliff)

In 1872 Duncan married Hannah Maclennan of Valtos; they did not have any children. After Hannah’s death just five months later, Duncan married again.  He became the third husband of Christina Macritchie of 7 Aird Uig; Duncan and Christina had five children, and settled at 8 Kneep (Duncan was the second tenant).
