16686: John Maclennan
John (born 1896) was a son of John Maclennan and Henrietta Macdonald, 15 Kneep. He married Margaret Macritchie, 4 Aird Uig in Sydney, Australia and they returned to 4 Aird Uig in the early 1930s. Their daughter was born in Sydney but they had returned to Aird Uig before the birth of their son, John Angus.
John was in the Auxiliary Coastguard Service; see Auxiliary Coastguard Service and the Iolaire Survivor story
Oral tradition says that Farquhar ‘an Seonaid was a tenant on this croft for a short time.
