16134: Malcolm Smith
Malcolm Smith (1833-1905) son of Murdo Smith and Mary Macdonald, 13 Balallan married Margaret Mackenzie, 9 Keose. He was a road contractor for 26 years and at one time, he held the contracts for all the Island’s roads between Barvas and Harris.
Malcolm exchanged his croft with his son in law John Macleod, 3 Shieldenish in c1890.
