Matilda (1892-1974) was a daughter of Roderick Mackenzie and Christina Mackenzie of 4 Calbost. She and her first cousin, also called Matilda Mackenzie, were named after their paternal grandmother, Matilda Ross MacLeod.
In 1918 she married widower Alexander Mackenzie, 12 Calbost. Matilda and Alexander were Cottars at 4 Calbost and they had five children.
After the death of her Aunt, Flora Mackenzie the croft was split giving Matilda 4a. 4b Calbost went to Malcolm Smith 5 Calbost.
The family moved to 12 Calbost in 1933 and the croft joined with 4a Calbost.
Matilda was widowed in 1952.
