Peter Kennedy(1912-1962) was a son of Donald Kennedy and Catherine Mackay, 2b Calbost.

On February 22, 1933 he enrolled in the Royal Naval Reserve, Service Number  AX16819. Peter worked on Stornoway registered fishing boat the Starlight Rays from 1933-1935. His record indicates that he was 5ft 5in tall, with black hair, brown eyes and a fresh complexion.

Peter joined the Merchant Navy and travelled to Australia on the SS Oronsay. He sustained a serious injury and returned to Calbost.

Peter was a bachelor and the owner of the Shamrock (SY121).
