15321: Margaret Kennedy

Margaret (1904-1994) was a daughter of Donald Kennedy and Catherine Mackay of 2b Calbost.
On April 21, 1923 she emigrated to Canada with her brother, John Angus on the SS Metagama bound for Quebec.
There she married Murdo Macfarlane, Canada, also on the same voyage and formerly of 26 Melbost. The couple returned to Lewis and lived at 15 Branahuie. Murdo and Margaret had two children and the family lived in Inverness.
The croft at 2b Calbost passed to Margaret. After Margaret's death it passed to her son, John Macfarlane and thereafter to his daughter. It was then sold.
