John Alick Macleod (1908-1980) was a son of John Macleod and Christina Macleod, 1 Calbost.
On February 5, 1927, he enlisted with the Royal Naval Reserve Service Number AX1382 with subsequent re-enrolments BX85786 and CX7542. John Alick worked on Buckie and Stornoway registered Fishing Boats including the Beautiful, the Clan Maclennan, and the St Columba. During the Second World war he served with the Royal Navy based at HMS St Christopher and HMS Orlando and aboard HMS Acheron. His name is mentioned in Roll of Honour: Pairc, Second World War.
John Alick married Margaret Macleod, 2 Ranish. The couple lived at 2 Ranish and later settled in Glasgow.
