Isabella (1829-1901) was a daughter of Donald Nicolson and Ann Mackenzie, 5 Old Gravir. In the 1852 Lotting the family obtained 5 Gravir.
In Lochs, in 1852, she married her cousin, Malcolm Smith of Laxay who came to live with the family after his parents died. Isabella and Malcolm were Cottars at 5 Old Gravir and later moved to 6 Gravir. The couple had eight children.
Isabella was widowed in 1895.
