Catherine (1844-1930) was a daughter of James Macdonald and Isabella Mackenzie, 9 Habost.
In Lochs, in 1867, she married Kenneth Nicolson, 11 Calbost. Catherine and Kenneth settled at 11 Calbost and they had eleven children. The family moved to 9 Bayhead Street, Stornoway in the early 1900s.
Their daughter, Christina died in 1915 and her three children came to live with their grandparents at 9 Bayhead Street.
Catherine was widowed in 1929.
