Norman, born in 1875, was a son of Angus Macdonald and Rachael Mackenzie. This family lived in Croir then moved to Hacklete when it was populated in 1880. He married Marion Macdonald from 25 Kirkibost and remained at the family home; Norman and Marion had no children.
