Sympathy: The community were saddened to hear of the death of Mrs. Bertha Macdonald, the wife of Calum Murdo Macdonald ( Calum MurdoTarmod Chalum Thormoid Mhor of 24, Kirkibost), on April 6th 2005 at the age of 84 years. Bertha and Calum Murdo had lived in Edinburgh for many years where they had a fish merchant's business. They raised two children Irene and Calum. Sadly, Calum died a number of years ago. Bertha was born and raised in Musselburgh. She had enjoyed good health until recent months. The Bernera community extend their sincere sympathies to Calum Murdo and Irene, and all the members of the family.
