Jessie Hymers (1849-1930) was a daughter of John Hymers and Mary Turnbull, Farr Sutherland. The family moved to  Shepherd's House, Eishken which was named Eishken Lodge in the 1871 Census. The family moved to Latheron in the 1870s.

At Latheron, in 1878, she married Gavin Ralston Stevenson, Dreghorn. The couple settled at Dreghorn and they had at least two children.  Their son, Hugh emigrated to the United States of America in 1906 and the family followed two years later.

Jessie and Gavin settled in Maryland and Jessie  returned to Dreghorn where her death was registered
