12167: Catherine Mackenzie
Catherine (1802-1879) was a daughter of Kenneth Mackenzie and Mary Maclean, Buinish. The family lived for a time at Orinsay before moving to 8 Old Lemreway.
In Lochs, in 1825, Catherine married Donald Macdonald, 6 Old Orinsay. The couple settled at 6 Old Orinsay and they had six children
Catherine was widowed in 1839 and when Orinsay was cleared in 1843, the family went to live at 15 Crossbost with her brother Murdo who was married to Donald’s sister Catherine.
Catherine and her children later moved to 6 Crossbost
In 1844 she married for the second time to Donald Mackinnon, 7 Old Orinsay. Catherine and Donald settled at 6 Crossbost and they had a son Donald.
In 1853 the family moved to 8 Balallan.
