Iain Mhurchaidh Dhòmhnaill
John (1892-1916) was a son of Murdo Macleod and Mary Mackinnon, 14 Ranish.
He served in the Seaforth Highlanders, Service Number 3/7044, in the First World War. He was killed in Action in Iraq aged 20. His name is commemorated on the Basra War Memorial, panel 37 and 84, the Crossbost War Memorial, the Lewis War Memorial and Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918.
