John Macleod (1911-1982) was the son of Jessie Macleod, 17 Cromore. His mother died in 1919 and he lived with his sister, Christina at 17 Cromore.
On July 22, 1929 he enrolled in the Royal Naval Reserve Service Number AX14924. His record indicates that he was 5 ft 7 in tall with dark hair, dark blue eyes and a dark complexion. John only served one month before receiving a Discharge.
He married Helen Henderson from Glasgow. John and Helen settled at Caros, Cromore and they had a daughter.
