Jessie Mackay was from Sutherland and it is believed that she met her husband when he was preaching in Sutherland.
In 1838 she was living in Cromore when she married John Macleod, Cromore. The couple settled at 17 Cromore and they had a daughter, Christina.
Jessie died c1840.
