120912: Dr Peter Matheson

Peter was a son of Angus Matheson, 5 Brenish and Margaret Macritchie, 3b Aird Uig. He was born at Seaforth House, 23 Scotland Street, Stornoway before moving with his family to 20 James Street. Peter followed a career in medicine and was general practitioner in Uig from 1945-1972. He was married to Jean Hunter MacKay from Airdrie and they had one daughter. They lived at Miavaig and later at 15 Valtos.
