120593: Malcolm Macleod

Malcolm (1848-1907) was the son of Kenneth Macleod and Mary Smith of 53 Balallan.

Following the death of Malcolm’s father Kenneth (between 1847-1851), Malcolm’s mother Mary married Alexander Nicolson in 1851, becoming Alexander’s third wife. Malcolm, Mary and Alexander resided at 53 Balallan, along with Alexander’s son from his second marriage, Malcolm Nicolson. Mary and Alexander had two children, Mary and Kenneth.

After the death of his mother Mary in 1855, Malcolm was brought up by his maternal grandmother, Margaret Maciver, at 20 Balallan.
