Donald (1901-1980) was a son of Robert Macmillan and Marion Macleod, 3 Gravir. In 1921 he was a Telegraphist at Gravir Post Office.
He married Ann Macmillan, 17 Marvig. Donald and Ann settled at 3 Gravir and they had a son, Donald.
He was appointed sub postmaster in 1928 in the Gravir Post Office and when he retired on the 30th November, 1966 he was credited with over 38 years service. Although his son, Donald, was appointed sub postmaster in 1966, Donald continued to work in the Post Office, up until his death on 2 March 1980, a period of service spanning 63 years.
