119860: Flora Macdonald

Flora Macdonald (1925-2020)  was born on 12 January 1925 at 5 Upper Barvas to Willaim and Margaret Macdonald. Flora was raised at that address. During the war she served with the NAAFI and afterwards returned to Barvas and worked with the local postal service.  She married Alexander Malcolm Mackenzie of 31 Laxay on 12 August 1947 at Stornoway High Church.  She spent her married life and raised her own family at 31 Laxay.  Ill health led to her entering Bethesda Care Home latterly and she died there on 26 February 2020.
