119820: William Henry Little

William Henry Little (1875-1962) was born in Monghyr, India. His father was in the Colonial Service and died when William was four. The family moved to South Africa and he joined the Colonial Civil Service becoming Magistrate in Christiana.

He married Margaret Macleod, Christiana, ex Tarbat Manse, Portmahomack in 1924 when he was 49 and she was 24. William and Margaret had three children. Six years later he retired and the family moved to East  London, Eastern Cape, South Africa.

Margaret worked as a Governess, doing B & B  and opening a Children’s Nursery to maintain the family’s income.

William died in East London in 1862.
