119807: Barabel Macleod

Barabel Macleod (1898-1923) was a daughter of Rev. Donald Smith Macleod and Kate Isles Rodger Wylie, Tarbat Manse, Portmahomack.

She attended Dingwall Academy and matriculated in 1914. She was recruited by the Board of Agriculture as a Seed Analyst like her sister, Isabel.

Barabel was transferred to the Cornwall Laboratories and developed Gastric Tuberculosis. Her father was sent for and made the long journey from Clynder to Cornwall. He arrived in time and was present when Barabel died.
