Katherine Mary Macleod
Katherine Mary Macleod (1890-1961) was a daughter of Rev. Donald Smith Macleod and Kate Isles Rodger Wylie and a twin of Donald, Tarbat Manse, Portmahomack.
She trained as a teacher and followed her sister, Jean to South Africa, where she took up a teaching Post in Ladysmith, Natal.
It was there in 1916 she married Archibald Kenneth Maclean, a Colonial Army Officer from Dingwall. Katherine and Archibald Kenneth settled at Ladysmith and returned to Tarbat Manse for the birth of their two sons.
Katherine Mary was widowed in 1956 when Archibald Kenneth died in the Transvaal. She died at the home of her son, Kenneth, King's Heath, Birmingham.
