119512: James Macrae
James (born 1915) was a son of William Macrae and his second wife, Mary Mackay, Miavaig Farm and House, later 35 Cliff. He married a French lady he met during the war and they had three or four children.
James reached the rank of Major in the Seaforths and the Royal Army Service Core (RASC). He went to university afterwards and qualified as a teacher, latterly teaching in the School for the Deaf in Edinburgh.
