118992: Donald Macaulay

Donald was a son of William Macaulay and Catherine Smith, Baile na Cille. He married first to Ann Macleod, 11 Old Mangersta, where they lived. Donald was widowed with two young children: Donald born 1830 and Mary born 1832.

His second wife was Catherine Maclean, 13 Old Mangersta, where they lived as cottars.

In 1843, they emigrated to Winslow Township in the Eastern Townships of Quebec. They had six children:

Ann 1838-1851; Kenneth born 1840 married 1. Isabella ex Ungeshader 2. Catherine Maciver; Malcolm born 1843 married Mary Macdonald ex Upper Shader; Catherine born 1845 married Roderick Macaskill ex Gress; William born 1847 married Ann Macaulay ex North Shawbost.
