George (born 1855) was a son of George Macdonald and Ann Macleod of 4 Coll.

He married Jane Maciver, of 32 Coll and the couple initially settled at 4 Coll.

George inherited 29 Coll, from his aunt Isabella Macdonald; George and Jane moved to 29 Coll. At this point 4 Coll passed to Alexander Maclennan.

It is not clear when their first seven children were born, but, as his aunt died in 1899, at least the last three were born at 29 Coll. In total the couple had ten children: five boys and five girls.

29 Coll passed to George and Jane’s eldest son, John.
