11804: John Macnaughton

John was a son of John Macnaughton and Janet Mackinlay of Kleatahog. He married twice.

He married Annabella Maciver from Erista in 1833, and they had a daughter Annabella on 1 Jan 1834. It appears that Annabella (senior) died in or after childbirth, and the daughter also disappears from records.

John was married again in 1835 to Catherine Macdonald from Strome. They had a son John, who was living with his grandparents in 1851 and settled at 9 Breaclete.

Catherine died in 1838 and family tradition maintains that John (senior) also died fairly young.
