Marion, born in 1914, was a daughter of Kenneth and Christina nee Mackay. She became a nurse and was stationed in Brue throughout the Second World War (she also worked on district in Bernera for a short time).

After her marriage to John Macleod from Brue she settled in Brue where they raised three of a family.
