116326: Christina Buchanan

Christina (born 1876) was a daughter of John Buchanan and Margaret Macdonald, 6 Brenish. She married Cain Mackinnon, 18 Brenish, where they settled. They had ten children, three of whom died in infancy: Catherine born 1898; John born 1906 and John born 1917.

Christina lost both her husband and son, Angus, when the fishing vessel, The Margaret, sank at Mealista Island on 12.03.1932. She had previously lost a son, Murdo, in the Iolaire Disaster 01.01.1919.
