Donald Macleod (1888-1915) was a son of Donald Macleod and Margaret Montgomery, 2 Habost.

He served with the 5th Cameron Highlanders in the First World War, Service Number 12555. He lost his life in action at the Battle of Loos on 25th September 1915, aged 27. He is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918.

Donald’s name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial, Pairc War Memorial and the Lewis Memorial, Stornoway.
