115909: Donald Buchanan

Donald (born 1809) was a son of Angus B. Buchanan and Ann Macaulay, 6 Old Carnish and later Balnicol. Information from his gg grandson from Canada is as follows – A list compiled in 1819 in the Seaforth Papers provides the names of “uneducated” children. The list for Balnicol includes a Donald Buchanan born 1809, which matches the birth year. 

In 1827/28, Donald emigrated with his family to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
