115150: John Macleod

John (born 1806) was the son of Angus Macleod and Ann Mackay, 9 Mealista. He was married to Mary Macleod, 3 Old Brenish and they lived as cottars at 9 Mealista before relocating to 25 Old Brenish in 1837. They had five children – Christina born 1831; Donald 1833-1899; Ann born 1835; Malcolm 1839-1900.

In 1843, they emigrated to Lingwick Township in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, where their son, Angus, was born in 1844.
