Johanna (1886-1966) was a daughter of John MacKinnon and Margaret Maclean, 1 Flodabay, Harris.
In 1910, in Portree, she married Farquhar Macleod, 11 Habost. Joan and Farquhar lived at Ardslave, Manish, Nethy Bridge and North Uist and they had three children.
The couple retired to Edinburgh.
