113712: Donald MacPhail
Donald MacPhail, born about 1780, was the son of John MacPhail and Mary MacLennan of North Uist. Donald married Mary MacAskill, with whom he had at least eight children. By 1818 they were living in Ruisgarry where Donald paid annual rent of £6.12.6 for his croft. During the late 1820s the family emigrated to Upper River Denys, Cape Breton.
