113379: Rachel Ferguson

Rachel Ferguson, born 1830 at Fergusons’ Lake, was the daughter of Kenneth Ferguson, an emigrant from Berneray. She married Malcolm MacLeod of Grand River, also from Berneray. Rachel died in childbirth at Grand River Falls in 1868.

Note: The local croft history states that Rachel was the daughter of Kenneth and Catherine Ferguson. However, it has also been suggested that she was instead the daughter of their son Kenneth and his wife Ann Ferguson.
