Margaret, born 1835, was the daughter of Angus MacCusbic and Christina MacLeod who had emigrated from Berneray to Grand River a few years earlier.
In 1867 Margaret married John MacCusbic of West Bay Marshes, another emigrant from Berneray. Together they had two children, living at Framboise.
