113198: Peter MacAskill
Peter, born 1828, was the son of Neil MacAskill and Chirsty MacDonald of Ruisgarry, who moved to Borve by 1841. Peter’s mother died about 1845 and the family moved instead to 11 Kyles Scalpay.
Peter married Flora MacLeod, whose family had been moved from Borve, Berneray to Scalpay. Together they were to have twelve children, living at 11 Kyles Scalpay.
