112980: Effie Munro
Effie, born 1849, was the daughter of Alexander Munro and Marion Martin of Borve. The ruins of their house, Tobhta Alasdair ‘ic Anndaidh, are still evident.
In 1854 the crofts were taken for Borve Farm, and the family moved to Arnish, Lewis, later living at 20 Branahuie. Effie remained unmarried, passing away in 1920.
