112973: Murdo Macaulay

Murdo (born 1853) was a son of Kenneth Macaulay and Annabella Macaulay, 7 Islivig. He lived in Stornoway with his sister, Christina, before they both emigrated to Australia in 1883.

In 1886, in Queensland, Murdo married Eliza Jane Jennings from Weston-super-Mare, England, who had also emigrated to Australia. They had five children: Elizabeth Barbara 10.9.1888-28.3.1979; Margaret Alice born 3.3.1890; Kenneth Thomas 2.6.1891-22.8.1970; Sydney died 5.1.1893 aged 5 days; Jessie Christina 4.08.1901-7.7.1965.
