112832: Effie MacAskill
Effie, born 1850, was the daughter of Angus MacAskill and Christina MacDonald of 19 Kyles Scalpay. Her parents decided to emigrate to Australia, leaving Campbeltown on HMS Hercules on 26th December 1852. Effie’s mother died at sea, four days before the ship’s arrival at Port Adelaide.
