Ann, born 1811, was the daughter of Donald MacKinnon. She married farmer John MacLeod of Borve. Together they were to have eight children. They were living in old Ruisgarry in 1841, but, with the re-organisation of the area in 1845, the family was moved to 6 Kyles Scalpay.
