112373: Isabella Nicolson

Isabella Nicolson, born 1820 in Obbe, was the daughter of schoolmaster Arminger Nicolson and his wife Catherine Morrison. In 1838 she married catechist and teacher Donald MacKinnon from Hirta, with whom she was to have eight children. By 1841 the family was living at Ruisgarry, Berneray, returning to Harris during the 1840s, living at 6 Obbe. Isabella passed away in 1857, shortly after the birth of her youngest child.
