112306: Catherine Macrae

Catherine Macrae had links to Galson, but it is not known if she ever lived there herself.

Catherine was living in Quebec when she met and married, widower, John Macdonald. John had emigrated from 37 North Tolsta, in 1873. He had been married three times before and had four children from his first marriage, it is not known if there were children from the second or third marriages. Catherine’s step children were: Ann, Catherine, Mary and Norman.

It is not known if the couple had any children together.

Their marriage was somewhat fraught and Catherine ended up removing all her belongings from their house, before setting fire to it.

Nothing further is known.
