John (1826-1871) was a son of Roderick Mackenzie and Margaret Kennedy, 8 Old Lemreway.
Lemreway was cleared in 1843 and the family were removed to 27 Crossbost.
In Lochs, in 1868, he married Lily Macleod from 22 Ranish. John and Lily settled at 27 Crossbost and they had three children.
