110528: Alexander MacKinnon
Alexander MacKinnon, known as Alick, was born in 1890, the son of John MacKinnon and Julia Johnston, cottars on Balranald Farm.
Alick married Jessie Chapman of Aberdeen. With the outbreak of war he enlisted at Scolpaig, serving as a private with the 5th Battalion, Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders. Alick was killed in action on 14th April 1918.
